After going through the Kigyumon gate, which was brought from a Zen temple in an old town called Hagi, in Yamaguchi prefecture, you step into the lush green Japanese garden with an area of 2000 square meters with our dining rooms looking over it. As you walk deeper into the garden, there is a small stream running out from the pond which empties into the Takano river. A small waterfall fills the pond. Water drawn from 50m below ground is supplied by spring water from Mt. Hiei. From the dining room, you can enjoy the sound of the Takano river flowing right below the window as well as take in the beautiful scenery. Time passes slower here; enjoy your meal and drink to your heart’s content.
